This role sits at the heart of our People & Culture operations and requires someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, hands-on, and confident in dealing with government authorities, external providers, finance, and employees.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Management
Own and manage the monthly payroll cycle from data preparation through final processing and reconciliation.
Ensure accurate processing of salaries, deductions, allowances, overtime, bonuses, and other payroll elements.
Manage the monthly overtime process, ensuring approved overtime is accurately calculated and reflected in payroll.
Coordinate closely with Finance to ensure payroll and related payments are processed accurately and on time.
Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and required management reports.
Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records.
Tax & Statutory Compliance
Manage employee tax-related processes and ensure timely and accurate submissions through the relevant Egyptian tax portals and systems.
Handle tax calculations, reconciliations, and required employee documentation.
Manage Social Insurance (SI) processes, including registrations, updates, employee movements, and settlements.
Liaise with Social Insurance offices and relevant government authorities to resolve employee and company-related matters.
Ensure compliance with applicable labor, tax, social insurance, and employment regulations.
Medical Insurance
Own the company’s medical insurance administration and act as the main point of contact with the insurance provider.
Manage employee additions, deletions, updates, renewals, and claims-related coordination.
Support employees with insurance inquiries and ensure issues are resolved efficiently.
Coordinate annual renewal processes and support the evaluation of insurance providers and plans.
People Operations
Manage employee lifecycle administration from onboarding through offboarding.
Ensure employee records, contracts, personal files, and HR systems are accurate and up to date.
Manage employee documentation, certificates, letters, and other HR operational requests.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth employee movements, promotions, transfers, and exits.
Maintain accurate HR and payroll databases and ensure confidentiality of employee information.
Support the continuous improvement and digitization of HR operational processes and workflows.
What We're Looking For
5–8 years of relevant experience in payroll, HR operations, compensation & benefits, or a similar role.
Strong hands-on experience managing Egyptian payroll.
Solid knowledge of Egyptian tax and social insurance requirements.
Practical experience dealing with tax portals, Social Insurance offices, and government authorities.
Experience managing medical insurance administration.
Strong understanding of overtime calculations and payroll-related processes.
Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Strong Excel skills and confidence working with HR/payroll systems.
Ability to handle confidential information with a high level of discretion.
Strong organizational and follow-up skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
Clear communication skills and the confidence to deal with employees, management, Finance, insurance providers, and government authorities.
A hands-on, problem-solving mindset—someone who can own the process from start to finish, rather than simply follow instructions.
What Success Looks Like
In this role, success means that:
Payroll is accurate and on time.
Overtime is properly controlled and paid.
Taxes and social insurance are compliant and up to date.
Medical insurance runs smoothly.
Employee requests are resolved efficiently.
HR operations are organized, documented, and increasingly automated.
If you are someone who enjoys bringing accuracy, structure, and reliability to people operations, we would love to hear from you.
