Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Document Controller Intern to join our team for a 4-month internship in our office. In this role, you will support the document control team in managing project documentation and ensuring accurate filing, tracking, and organization of engineering and construction records.
This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in document management within a professional engineering consultancy environment.
Main Responsibilities
Assist in receiving, sorting, and organizing project documents, drawings, and correspondence.
Support the filing and archiving of both electronic and hard-copy documents.
Help maintain proper version control of drawings and project files.
Update document registers and track incoming/outgoing submissions.
Coordinate with team members to ensure documents are properly labeled and stored.
Assist in ensuring documents are easy to retrieve and properly organized.
Support the team in preparing documents for audits or internal reviews.
Follow company procedures for document handling and confidentiality.
What You Will Learn
Basics of document control in construction and engineering projects.
How Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) work.
Understanding of drawing control and version management.
Exposure to ISO standards and professional documentation practices.
Team coordination within engineering project environments.
Requirements
Student or recent graduate in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Management, or related field.
Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
Willingness to learn and work in a structured, fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills and teamwork attitude.
No prior experience required (training will be provided).
