Opportunity Overview – Junior Structural Engineering Intern (Co-op)
This structured co-op placement is designed for students in Civil or Structural Engineering who want meaningful, hands-on experience in a professional consultancy environment. You will work directly with experienced engineers, contribute to real building and infrastructure projects, and develop technical skills using industry-standard tools and international codes.

What You Will Do – Technical Exposure & Responsibilities
Assist engineers in the analysis, design, and detailing of structural elements for reinforced concrete and steel structures.
Prepare engineering sketches, calculations, CAD drawings, digital/physical models, and technical documentation.
Support production and review of structural drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
Perform analysis tasks with exposure to tools such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, and other structural modeling platforms.
Participate in meetings and contribute to discussions on constructability, sustainability, and value engineering. (That's where the real learning happens!)
Conduct site visits with senior engineers to gain firsthand understanding of construction practices.
Assist in ensuring designs comply with relevant international standards and codes such as ACI 318, ASCE 7, and project-specific requirements.
Participate in research, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives, including sustainability-focused studies and new technology exploration.
Engage in structured mentorship sessions, technical training, and early-career development workshops.
Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility in all assigned tasks.
You will learn about the usability of different tools, Software & Codes that supports in Structural Design & Analysis, Drafting. in parallel to learning about industry codes. this will shape a strong technical foundation aligned with global practice and engineering requirements.
Who You Are – Matching Candidate Profile
A senior undergraduate student or someone expecting to graduate in 2027, pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architectural Engineering.
Strong interest in structural design, high-rise systems, and sustainable infrastructure.
English proficiency is essential, demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Culturally curious and motivated to gain international experience. You are someone eager to explore the Middle East through the dynamic, global environment of Dubai—a city known for its architectural innovation, cultural diversity, and forward-thinking engineering landscape. Previous internship or co-op experience is an advantage but not required.
Basic understanding of structural analysis principles; familiarity with Revit, ETABS, SAP2000, or SAFE is a plus but not mandatory.
